not for housing (esp the new flats), I think.... went up like crazy in past 3-4 years

No, but I went to Macau to look at some property. Too expensive in my opinion. Maybe 3.5M for a 1500 sq ft place there... I can buy a 2000 sq ft. house in the US with a 8000 sq ft lot.

yes..it is quite expensive, in NY 1500 sq ft apratment in nice area and close to subway and China town is about $450,000 - 500,000 us$

Today it is not easy to setup a family ....

If you can single is quite simple...

there are pros & cons being single...

without wife/kids, who's gonna take care of you when you're old & sick? Hire a private nurse?

Sorry to bro Pizza, I didn't mean to scare anyone, I'm just an ultra-conservative "investor" in life. And things in HK are quite different from Macau, I think. People over there have a more relaxed and simple view about life, they just do what one should do (e.g. marry, have kids, etc) when the time comes. In HK, some people tend to put everything off becoz they're obsessed with making $$, advancing their careers, getting a big apartment (still tiny compared to other parts of the world), etc. But then they pay the price of losing the chance to do many other things... This may not apply to all, just my humble observation...

I don't mean the kids alone...I also mean alot of other thing put together such as Job, marriage, health...just don't put all your hope in one territory
