8號風球懸掛後, 中環地鐵站，一度迫滿逾萬人，地鐵實施人潮管制，但站內人太多，有乘客迫至暈倒。至於在中環前往坪洲的碼頭，約200名市民聚集在碼頭的大閘外，要求船公司加開一班船接載休們返坪洲。由於證券及期貨買賣及結算於2時45分休市，銀行、企業也陸續停業。金融區中環下班的人士愈來愈多，巴士站及地鐵出現人流。由於地鐵乘客眾多，中環、上環等地鐵站下午2時43分起關閉部分入閘機。地鐵站職員解釋，人流太多需要實施人流管制。而手提電話網絡也一度出現擠塞，須嘗試撥號多次始接通固網電話。至於巴士服務，大批急於回家市民擠滿灣仔碼頭巴士總站，多條巴士線都站滿等候巴士離開的市民，而由灣仔碼頭沿軒尼斯道出銅鑼灣的道路兩旁也站滿候車市民，平時只需要10分鐘的車程，現時因為人多車多，車程需要超過40分鐘。海上渡輪服務於八號風球縣掛後陸續停航，前往坪洲的尾班船在下午3時開出後，在中環前往坪洲的碼頭，約200名市民聚集在碼頭的大閘外，要求船公司加開一班船接載他們返坪洲。部分市民表示，他們曾經上了尾班船，但是船長指船隻超載，拒絕開船，結果他們要落船。

Usually it last maybe couple of hours.....anything over that will be hell....

I remember thare was a year that the snow storm was so heavy. By the time I finished shoveling up my driveway,

the snow pile was taller than me on both sides.

You said Miss C. is "very unlikely to get on oldcake", how can you be sure ah?  You never know, she might be one of the "CD-Rom" now reading what you've posted!! ha ha!  .....unless she is very young (so she won't consider herself as an oldcake and therefore will not browse this forum) or she may not know how to read Chinese at all (so won't be on this forum) or she may not even be Chinese!!

That's very funny!!!   (sorry, it must be very annoying for you at the time, but....it's really funny!!)   ...it sounded like one of those jokes we get from email, but didn't know that these things actually happen in real life!

ha ha.....nope......but at one time I DID tried to get into somebody else car.

Same color and model......so stupid of me.

Should have noticed something when the remote didn't worked on it....and I was still trying to open the doors and it didn't work either.

Next thing I noticed.....all my 'toys' inside the car is gone.....WRONG CAR !!!....so stupid.....

ha ha!!

True....so many times I forgot where I parked....one time I was at Square One and forgot where I parked...middle of January.

-10c that day.....finally have to call security to drive me around the lot to look for my car....so embarrassing....

...and since then you have not been back to the same carpark?! (..as you were too embarrassed to face the security guard!! )

nope.....they won't remember me gar la.

Plus I don't live in that area anyway.

You go there shopping too?
