John Lone was credited in King Kong as "Chinese Cook", but you can clearly see him in the movie.

So he went from "Chinese Cook" to The Last Emperor....not bad.  Unfortunately, in Hollywood, Asian male actors don't get any big roles in films or on TV.  It's better now (and there are yearly reports here in the US on how many roles minorities get in films and on TV*) but it's still a long road ahead.

* When I say "minorities", I mean non-white people.
